Net Advanced

Scenery |
To
herald the advantages of NET's (t.v) Advanced Package
in a very humorous way. This was the idea proposed by
Fisher América Sul for a campaign where several animated
characters representing the diversity of channels pile
onto a viewer's sofa. As with every project carried
out by Animaholics, this one also had its beginnings
with the creation of characters and the production of
a detailed storyboard. |
| The
commercial, of a minute's duration, had only approximately
forty seconds of cartoon, where, between its several characters
more than 3000 pictures were drawn, scanned and painted.
|
|
| The
scenery was created separately on canson paper with
paintings done in watercolours and coloured pencils
and then the details were enhanced with Photoshop. The
ten characters all had to be created separately and
in cycles, work that was followed by the application
of shading and highlighting for each character involving
more than a hundred and thirty layers (phew!) in the
final composition. This was achieved with After Effects
software. The television that bounces and the sofa that
contorts itself when the elephant sits down had to be
animated with a well known technique called morphing.

object into another, as is most common, we just used
the technique to deform the objects. To accompany the
cartoon a collection of scenes and animated logos from
NET channels such as Nickelodeon, Discovery Kids, Animal
Planet and MGM Gold |

others, was made, completing and filling the remaining
space in the commercial. It was a true marathon of animation,
due mainly to the |
| amount
of work necessary to accomplish a commercial with these
characteristics. There were nine professionals working
almost day and night on this production for fifteen days,
but the results more than compensated for their efforts
and you can see them now on our web site. |
